① Action → Gun fights, bar brawls, fights to the death are all possible scenarios.

③ Crack → Genderswaps, super powers, sudden compulsions are all possible outcomes.
④ Fluff → Something that is devoid of angst. It's light-hearted and might have the overtone of romance.
⑤ Gen → General fun, things that didn't fit in the other categories.
⑥ Your choice → Think of your own scenario, choose one of the above or make a combo even!

ACTION.

① Zombies → It's the zombie apocalypse, lock and load!
② Bar brawl → You had one too many drinks, said something wrong, and now you're being asked to take it outside.

⑲ Fight club → You know the rules... you're in an underground fighting ring and you're fighting with all you've got.

ANGST.

① Injury / illness → Your character has become injured or ill! To what extent is the mun's choice.
② Last moments → You character has been gravely injured and this is their last chance to say their last words.
③ Depression → Your character is depressed, what actions they take is up to the mun.
④ Betrayed → You character has been betrayed by the other. How do they react?

⑬ Hurt you → You're being forced to hurt someone you love either by betraying them or even being forced to shout things you don't mean. It's for their own good in the end though.
⑭ Separation → You were forced to leave this person for their own safety and while you've been miserable without them, you really didn't mean to run into them again... maybe it was by accident or you were watching them from afar this whole time.
⑮ Becoming a monster → You are slowly changing, becoming a monster: vampire, zombie, demon, something you can't recover from and no-one can help you.
⑯ Frozen → You are entirely helpless, frozen, to stop some kind of disaster.

④ Costume party → You're at a costume party, both of you are wearing masks. Do you keep the anonymity or take it off and see whose company you've been enjoying?
⑤ Wrong number → Oops, actually you didn't mean to call that person...
⑥ Drunk → You're already drunk! Drunk dialing, stumbling into someone, showing up unexpected... what type of drunk are you anyway? Aggressive, loving, happy? How does the other react?

[So it is a more sensitive issue, judging by her quick turn away from the subject... well, he is a patient man, and he knows when to leave something alone. There's always next time—or the next. Even with Ferran, who'd leaned so heavily on his support from the start, it took a while to earn enough trust for the boy to truly open up.

... in any case. He has no issues with moving along with the conversation, even if the slightest flicker of that previous anxiety manifests in a twitch of an eyelid. It's masked quickly with tired exasperation.]

Hah—sadly true. Even the most fundamental experiences can only provide so much value in a separate world entirely...

[He lets out a mild sigh, but doesn't let the pause linger.]

Why don't you tell me how you've fared here, instead? Is there anything I should be looking out for?

[Glancing around her cautiously before continuing...]

Well... If I'm being honest... it's a crappy situation we find ourselves in.

[Pointing towards one of the npcs walking around.]

See that pendant around their neck? That's called a Vision Orb. Notice how we seem to be missing those? That's the most important part.

[Shifting her weight to reposition herself]

I'll be blunt. What crime did you commit before arriving here?

[A bold question indeed, but without any hesitation. She took off her right glove that partially covered a tattoo initially to show it to him.]

We all have one. It brands you as a criminal. Which is ironic, considering my job. [Yeah, she's salty.] Like I said, people suck.

[chimericalclaw]

[A bold enough thing to ask that his expression momentarily hardens—but not in any indication of guilt or fear of being seen through. It's to be expected that anyone would balk at being accused of being a criminal.

His tone lowers to match hers, but he pointedly keeps his posture in a conversational level of displeasure; folded arms, a stern look. He doesn't answer her question.]

...and do you simply accept that judgment?

[His is largely hidden partly due to his height—in order for anyone to see the brand on his tongue, he'd have to be particularly clumsy with his speech and posture. And yes, it did suck when that appeared, thank you.]

Forgive me if this seems presumptuous, but I wouldn't think you'd accept that sort of a condemnation as fact.

[That is to say: he's admitting to nothing just yet.]

[She says that, but it's obvious she still blames herself for it.]

Just because I'm used to this place now doesn't mean I accept any of it. In fact... I plan to prove my case, one way or another.

[Half-hearted. She's carrying guilt over it, whatever it is—he could make assumptions, but right now they'd be useless. Either way, she's aware of some transgression she considers herself responsible for.

So is he, but he can't afford to let guilt bar his way.

He doesn't bother to hide his displeasure with all of this, pausing a moment as he considers.]

I suppose the fact that we haven't been rounded up and imprisoned does lend credence to the idea of something resembling due process.

[Ok, so at least he's admitting he's branded.]

I'm almost hesitant to ask what happens when someone is convicted.

[Balling her hands into light fists, she raised them in front of her and spread her fingers out dramatically.]

[Following up with a nonchalant shrug.]

To normal people, it looks like Enforcers simply show up and deliver the "justice" that the people cry out for so fervently. And just like that, the Transgressor simply just.... disappears. What they don't realize is that they're murdered. Normal Transgressors are generally too weak to fend off the assault and die. But there are those with the power to fight back, given enough push to do so.

But that -- of course -- makes us wanted criminals and feared by those who still believe in the Vision Orbs. My goal is to smash them completely. It's not right to pass judgment in this manner... To condemn a person's fate to the little information you're privy to. I can't say I'm the religious kind, but the number of people who have been falsely accused sickens me.

[Though his posture doesn't change much other than a hand moving to his chin as he takes in this information, there's something sharp in his gaze as he considers her words—particularly after she claims she wants to smash them completely.

There is no more levity to his tone when he speaks; he wants to make sure he's being taken seriously when he tells her:]

... That is a very dangerous thing to admit to someone you've just met.

Perhaps, but you don't exactly seem like the the type to simply accept condemnation so freely yourself. Take that as you will.

The point is to be careful. Transgressors are not viewed well here and their Vision Orbs will remain a threat. Anything goes, so long as those who condemn others with little knowledge sleep well at night. It would be best to remember that.

[Shrugging slightly. At the very least, she had the foresight to speak lightly about the situation. She wasn't about to loudly profess any of this for everyone to here, after all. Putting her glove back on...]

Either way, you'll have to figure out what to do from here. You're not as free to do as you wish as you may hope to be. I recommend finding shelter first.

[Oh, no. He's not letting this go. It's too important—he cannot allow what could easily be a potential ally to be so reckless to such an extent if there's any chance she might listen to reason. He would very much like to have an asset that won't get herself killed before she's even of use.]

Do you trust your judgment that much? Seeming after a few minutes of conversation is enough for you to admit to a plan to tear down this system?

[He takes a single step towards her. Not enough to enter her personal space by any means, but closer than the distance of a stranger, aiming to use his height as another method of—not threat, exactly, but persuasion. He speaks with authority, though their conversation remains only between them.]

You're telling me to be careful, but I don't think you understand the sort of danger you've just put yourself in so carelessly. You cannot trust so easily if you have any intent of surviving long enough to do anything of worth.

[sweepers]

[She couldn't help but let out a chuckle and a cheeky grin in response to his first statement. Cocking her head slightly to the side..]

You assume that this was simply decided a few minutes ago? Don't sell me short. I assure you it's been thought out. I'm merely waiting for the pieces to fall into place.

[The tone was enough to notice, though she decided not to linger on it. Instead, she took a small step forward herself.]

I'm aware. But just to set the record straight: I. Don't. Trust. You.

[Pausing between each word.]

Trust is earned, not assumed. Show me that you're someone I can rely on, and maybe I'll change my mind.

[Stepping back once more]

But there's value in finding allies, especially in a place like this. I seem to be missing my own back home, after all. You don't necessarily have to trust someone to work together towards a common goal, though. The question is: what side do you intend to stand on?

[She thinks she has it all figured out, apparently. That's not an uncommon trait in a teenager, he's found—especially for one who's been granted abilities greater than her peers. Her experiences have also given her a sense that she knows better than others her age, that she's somehow smarter, or her priorities are more important—she's admitted as much already.

Zekarion shakes his head. He remains where he stands as he unfolds his arms, but there's a sense that he considers her reaction regrettable in his demeanor.]

You don't have as much figured out as you believe.

[He was this confident, once. It ended poorly.]

You know nothing about me or my motivations. Even if I were to tell you, you have no way of verifying what I tell you is real. If all of what you've said is true, you should already know that the sorts of people willing to enforce a system like this will do anything to make certain it remains as is. I imagine what you've told me is more than enough to condemn you and anyone you've been seen with.

[Even if he didn't have his own motivations, he has no intention of playing the game by her rules. He's been reading these kinds of boards for as long as she's been alive.]

I don't need your trust. I'm warning you so that you might avoid getting yourself killed.

[sweepers]

[She's aware that she doesn't have it all figured out. Not just in this world, but her own. She's also aware that she's not invincible. Cocky at times, yes. A trait she grew into as she got into her teenage rebellious phase. It was partially Train at fault for how he'd rubbed off on her, but she would never admit that personally. In fact, she was a far cry from who she was as a child, much more sheltered and bashful. But to claim she thought she knew better than others her age? Not so much. Yes to some degree. Street knowledge and what it's really like out there. But there were plenty of other areas that she lacked experience in. To some extent... how to be a kid. Her age was not lost on her, despite her upkeep.]

You're right. Not yet anyway. It's too early to have it all figured out yet. I won't deny that I don't have all of the information and pieces I need yet. But I don't intend to do nothing and accept my fate as it were either. There are still plenty of surprises out there and so much I don't know yet, but I believe I can take it all in stride nonetheless.

You're right about that as well. It just means I keep my guard up. Nothing new, really. I don't expect an easy fight. Besides, even if it was, that would be too boring for me. I do like a challenge. Nothing worthwhile will ever be easily attained with minimal effort. But the thing is... I'm already condemned. I have Enforcers to deal with already. It's not like anything else will make much difference.

[She says this but she knows that it could get worse. That... she'll just have to be wary of.]

I don't intend to die anytime soon. I'm too young for that. Though your concern is noted.

[And just like that her expression became more serious. As if despite all this, she has taken careful consideration of what's going on.]

I don't take any of this lightly, you know. How could I?

I can tell that you believe that.

[And that is enough for his demeanor to lose some of its edge. He remains stern, but there's something else in his brow—something that might seem like guilt.]

But I can tell you from experience that if you want the power to make meaningful change, you can't afford to be reckless. Not with your information, with your words, with your actions—anything. And you would not be the only one to pay the price if you fail. You may already be aware of that as well— [His tone is grim at the implication; he won't dig, but it's relevant.] —but I'll remind you regardless.

[He believes she can defend herself, to an extent; that much is clear. She has skills and experience and the willingness to push past the obstacles in front of her. Those are all highly valuable, but the devil is always in the details.]

I don't believe you should do nothing. But if you truly want to help people, you must take greater care, or you will only make things worse. It can always get worse.

[sweepers]

['you would not be the only one to pay the price if you fail' His implication was well noted. She'd already experienced that much. Which causes her to turn her gaze to the side momentarily as if recalling something before glancing back with determination.]

I think... in time you'll come to understand me better. And my dedication to my ideals. I will not claim to be all-knowing or all-powerful. That much has already been proven otherwise. All we can do... is walk forward and face the new day ahead of us. No matter how much grief or sorrow you may find along the way.

Because if I allowed myself to falter now, I'd never forgive myself. Not for those who I've lost.

[Well. It's good to get confirmation that he was right about her experiences.]

Don't let your grief or your dedication blind you to the other paths to your goal. You cannot always move forward with every step, and it isn't faltering to move in a different direction, as long as you continue to move. That's all I mean to say.

[All this shounen talk of a better tomorrow and pushing forward... it makes him cringe a little internally, but that's neither here nor there. Zekarion shakes his head with a brief exhale, but it's clearly with a less vehement disagreement than his serious words the moment before.]

But you seem to be under the impression that we'll be allies of a sort already. [Judging by her remark that he'll get to know her, as if they'll be working together, or at least that he'll stay close enough for him to observe her actions. He doesn't sound opposed, necessarily, but his attitude remains as something of a wall she'll need to work at breaking down—or going around.] I haven't even told you my intentions.

[sweepers]

[Shaking her head in response with a shrug.]

I wasn't implying that. If it's something that doesn't interest you, that's fine. It's not like I need any specific help anyway.

[Though, it would be nice to see her friends again. But she was a big girl now. She could handle herself.]

[She "doesn't need any specific help"? Did his whole spiel go straight over her head... Though he tilts his head with a mildly incredulous look, he leaves the statement be. He's made his point as well as can be without being too forceful, he thinks.

The following pause is purposeful, however; there's a furrow to his brow that speaks to deep, careful thought. His response after that is a bit hesitant, his voice low.]

Hmm, well. ... Working outside of the law isn't a skill set I've particularly cultivated.

[he said, lying. What could a businessman who's kept his nose so clean possibly have to offer such a cause? —is the impression he's trying to make.]
