"I would have returned on my own after getting enough rest," he replied in spite of Hux's demand, "but you decided to take that from me."
The idea of the general attending to him because he was wounded was partly humiliating and partly aggravating. Even if Ren begrudgingly appreciated his help in the escape from Starkiller Base, he was of the mind that Hux needed to mind his own business. (It would be easier to hide his weakness that way.)
